Aromatic Apothecary has been a trusted name in everyday wellbeing since the early 1990s, but every product in our range has a story of how it came to be.
In the beginning, our range consisted of bath oils, followed soon after by massage oils. At the time, these therapeutic blends were applied by hand directly to the areas where they were needed most.
One day, while using a lip gloss with a roll-on applicator, inspiration struck! Why not use the same simple, mess-free application for therapeutic massage oils?
The first product to benefit from this idea was our Cold & Sinus blend. Instead of applying the oil with your fingers around the nose and cheeks, the roll-on applicator allowed the blend to be applied directly where it was needed. It was cleaner, more convenient, and easier to use.
Not long afterwards, while travelling overseas, I came across a headache roll-on. It sparked another idea, why not create Mini Roll-Ons for all of our therapeutic blends? That simple observation became the foundation for the range of 7 Mini Roll-Ons that so many of our customers rely on today.

The inspiration for our inhalers came in a similar way. Someone brought me a banana-scented nasal inhaler from overseas that was marketed as an appetite suppressant! It wasn't the product itself that inspired me, but the delivery method. I immediately saw the potential of using the same convenient design with our own carefully formulated burner oil blends to support stress, focus, sleep and other everyday wellbeing needs.
That single idea became the foundation of our inhaler range.
Innovation has always been driven by listening, observing and finding better ways to support everyday life. Our Move Easy Roll-On is another example. Originally formulated as a therapeutic gel in a tub, it evolved into a roll-on applicator, allowing you to massage and apply the product at the same time. A simple improvement that made using the product even easier.
