At Aromatic Apothecary, we often share that our products are pharmacist-formulated, but there is a deeper story behind that.
I am Doryce, the founding pharmacist. I originally studied Pharmacy because my father believed it was a strong and respected profession for a woman. As I trained and began working, I started to question the way we approach health and wellness. It often felt very pill-driven, as though there is a pill for every ill.
But in reality, I found that people were looking for more. They wanted guidance around everyday health, lifestyle, habits, and simple ways to feel better.
Of course, conventional medicine has an important and necessary place in healthcare. It plays a vital role, especially in acute and serious conditions. But alongside this, there is also space for more holistic, supportive approaches, particularly when it comes to everyday wellbeing.
Many common ailments can be alleviated with a natural remedy and can be supported through small, consistent actions. A good night’s sleep, staying well hydrated, being mindful of what we eat, and paying attention to how we move through our days, these all contribute to how we feel. These are the kinds of questions people were asking, and still ask today.
In today’s world, we understand more clearly that wellbeing is shaped by lifestyle, habits, and even our thoughts. Supporting our health often requires a combination of approaches, both conventional (OTC) and complementary.
